U14 Leinster championship Kildare 4-6 Wicklow 4-4
A very hard fought win on a windy day keeps Kildare on track for the Leinster A final with a game in the coming weeks against Meath to see who will play Dublin in the final. Half time score 4-1 to 3-3. While the football wasn't free flowing, this team are grinding out the results and if they hit form are in with a serious chance of a Leinster final. They battled hard against a stiff breeze in the first half and were ahead at half time. Unluckly the wind died in the second half but the girls held on against a more physical team. Scores came from Ellie Quinn 2-0, Ciara Wheeler 0-4, Megan Grufferty 1-1, Molly Price 1-0, Louise Scully 0-1. Best for Kildare were Aisling O Connor and Ciara Wheeler.
