Launch of senior leagues 2012 
Kildare ladies football launched their 2012 senior ladies leagues in Hawkfield on Good Friday. Club captains were there to represent their clubs which added great colour and anticipation for the upcoming season. This year 32 clubs will take part in the leagues. There will be 5 divisions of ladies football. Balyna, Confey, Eadestown, Grange, Leixlip and the newly promoted St Laurences will battle it out for the Division 1 title. In Division 2, Sarsfields, Maynooth, Naas, Carbury, Castlemitchell and Ballykelly will fight for the title. Division 3 features Kilcock, Kilcullen, Clane, Na Fianna, Suncroft and newly promoted Robert Emmets. Eight teams will battle it out for the Division 4 title – Moorefield, Ballymore, Celbridge, Rheban, Round Towers, Athgarvan, Athy and Monasterevin. Division 5 features Rathangan, Castledermot, Kill, Milltown, Kildangan Nurney and Prosperous. Round 1 of the senior leagues kick off Tuesday 10th April.
