Joe O'Donoghue was very happy to accept the position of Kildare senior ladies county manager. There are many challenges ahead in this new role for Joe as he tries to build on the foundations laid down by past managers, both at senior and underage level. The first challenge starts straight away and that is to assemble the best possible panel. Trials will be held on Sunday 4th, 11th and 18th December in the morning at Hawkfield. Times will be firmed up once the numbers coming forward are known. The slate is clean so every player will be given the same opportunity to make the panel. In the past some minors did not try out for senior in the belief that once they finished minor they would have a long career playing county senior football. With the current economic situation in Ireland nothing is guaranteed for our futures. Joes view is that if you think you are good enough then attend the trials.
What clubs can do
Contact your players whom you believe should attend trials and persuade them to attend. Please send the name position and club of players going for trials. This will help in the organising. E-mail them to joecpod@gmail.com
